Two things before you start

Answer honestly, but do not punish yourself while you do it. Nobody is watching, there is no pass or fail, and beating yourself up over the answers is its own version of the problem. You are looking at how you have been living. You are not on trial.

And not everything here is your doing

Some of your decisions were ordinary mistakes. Some people really were wrong for you. Some situations really were bad. This is not designed to blame everything on you, which is why the last three questions check something separate: whether the same trouble has actually followed you from place to place, or whether it belonged to the places themselves.

Answer Honestly

Every question below is about something you do, not something you feel. Answer for how you have actually been over the last two or three years, not for your best week and not for your worst one. If part of this does not apply to your life right now, answer for the last time it did.

Which parts of your life it has reached

The same thing shows up differently depending on where it lands. The longer the bar, the more of your behaviour in that part of your life is being driven by it.

What This Actually Measures

This is not a personality test and it will not tell you what type of person you are. It answers two questions. How far has this gone, and which parts of your life has it reached. Fear shows in how you handle what is coming, bitterness in how you carry what already happened, and insecurity in how you hold yourself when neither of those is settled. The questions ask about your behaviour in the ordinary places where all three eventually show: on your own, with money, with the people closest to you, at work, and in whatever you are trying to build.

The last three questions do something different. They check whether the same trouble has followed you from one situation to another. If it has, the result is worth taking seriously. If it has not, you may simply have been through a hard stretch, and the result will say so rather than pretending otherwise.

The book

The FBI Virus

This audit comes out of a book. The book explains why fear, bitterness and insecurity are not three separate problems but one thing wearing three faces, what it quietly costs a person across every part of their life, and the six steps out of it. The steps were not invented in a classroom. They were taken from one man's own record of getting himself out.

The FBI Virus - Fear, Bitterness and Insecurity: The Invisible Architecture of Self-Sabotage. Written by Oscar Manduku-Habeenzu.

The book is not sold here. It is given to those who join the guided programme, because reading it on your own is not what changes anything. You get your copy when you sign up. Sign up for the guided programme.

You Do Not Have To Do This Alone

The audit tells you where you are. The programme is where the work is actually done, with a guide who has been through it, a workbook to write in, and your own copy of the book. Get in touch and we will tell you what it involves.

Who it is for

Who This Is For

This audit is for anybody who suspects that fear, bitterness and insecurity are shaping more of their conduct than they would like to admit. The book behind it was written to men, because it was drawn from one man's record and from the conduct of men studied closely. The condition itself is not confined to them. What these three things do to authority, to money, to the people who depend on you and to the thing you build when you are gone is the same architecture wherever it operates. Where the book's examples are male, the mechanism underneath them is not.

You do not need to have read anything, and you do not need to know any of the language. Answer the questions as plainly as you can. Everything you need to understand your result is on this page.

Kufunga Foundation

The FBI Virus Audit is the maiden project of Kufunga Foundation, which works on what a person carries privately and hands down publicly. The Foundation runs the audit and the guided programme, and it makes both available to anybody who asks, regardless of what they can pay.

The book the audit is based on, The FBI Virus, is the work of Oscar Manduku-Habeenzu and remains his. The Foundation publishes this audit with his permission.
